Element riders headed up to Mammoth Lakes, CA for a pro contest last weekend. Chris Senn placed 6th while Collin Provost took 10th and had a some fun on the Fishtales board along the way. DALLAS ROCKVAM & COLLIN PROVOST ROAD TRIP SPOTLIGHT

Element Am's Dallas Rockvam and Collin Provost recently returned from a trip up through California and the Northwest with Vancouver as the main destination. Thrasher photographer and trip manager Nick Scurich documented their travels and you can see sequences of both Collin and Dallas along with a tour blog on the Thrasher web site, check it out!

ELEMENT EUROPE RIDER RUBEN RODRIGUES TAKES FIRST AT DAMN AM AMSTERDAM

Congratulations to Element Europe rider Ruben Rodrigues who took first place at the inaugural edition of the Damn Am contest on European soil. The contest took plce at in Amsterdam and included a healthy list of power am’s from all around the world. Ruben had 2 perfect runs in a row racking up all the contest points with style, pop and speed. Element Europe rider Bas Janssen took a very honorable 6th place skating more stylish than ever. NYJAH HUSTON IN NEW ESPN THE MAGAZINE

On the cover of the new ESPN the Magazine it reads ‘the next x-icon [he’s 11].’ The youngster they are referring to is Nyjah Huston who continues to gain deserved recognition on all levels of media. The article on the inside notes his latest accomplishments and touches on his amiable personality. Check out the article on newstands worldwide, watch Nyjah skate this years X-Games and enter to win tickets to see it live and the element board model he’ll be skating in the contest.

AU. RIDERS TAKE 'SSBSTS' TO NEW MAG

Bam deemed it simply ‘SSBSTS’ in a CKY video, now Sydney based team rider Willy Ackerman takes the Switch Stance Back Tail to the cover of new Australian magazine Skateboarding 'Prohibited.' On the inside fellow Aussie rider Josh Rio also finds a switch back tail, this one over a water gap.

ELEMENT TEAM SIGNING IN COSTA MESA, CA

Element will be holding a team signing August 2nd in Costa Mesa, CA, click here to check out the flyer. Riders expected to attend include Mike Vallely, Tosh Townend, Brent Atchley & Nyjah Huston. EVELIEN BOUILLIART EUROPEAN CONTEST RUN

Element Europe rider Evelien Bouilliart has been tearing up the European contest scene this summer. She has been placing high in all contests entered, even taking home prize money in mens divisions when the wonens isn’t offered. Check out this video clip from the Mystic Cup contest in Prague. Evelien continues her summer contest skating at the X-Games in Los Angeles August 4-5th. Congrats to Evelien on al her recent accomplishments.

ELEMENT VIDEO EDITING CLASS AT STANFORD A SUCCESS

Element Skateboards and The Digital Media Academy at Stanford University recently teamed up for the first ever skateboarding video production camp. Students spent a week learning both filming and editing techniques from the pros. Element family members Colt Cannon and Ray Barbee gave the novice filmers something to shoot at the Sunnyvale Skate Park in beautiful Sunnyvale, CA. Ray also helped out further by performing a guitar solo for the students to use on their soundtrack and did a live performance in the classroom. Element Skateboards’ veteran camp director, Dave Metty, said this was one of the most rewarding experiences of his 15 years of running camps. Camper Nate Theis excitedly claims he learned his new-found filming and Final Cut / Pretty Film editing skills in just one week. Check out Nate’s clip with skating from Colt & Ray.

COLT CANNON BACKYARD RAMP CONTEST WINNERS

This past weekend Colt Cannon hosted a mini ramp contest in his own backyard with help from Elemental Awareness and Overload skate shop. Many crowded the deck and backyard for the two division contest. Congrats to Cayden Riebe who took first place in the 13& Under division, he won a Colt custom complete AND a scholarship to Element YMCA Skate Camp. In the 14&Up division Aric Sanders took first place along with a years supply of Element Decks amongst a wealth of other product. Congrats to these winners and thanks to everyone that came out for this unique contest.

NYJAH HUSTON ARTICLE IN NEW YORK TIMES!

Nyjah Huston’s incredible skating in the first two Dew Tour contests have turned much more than skaters heads. Most recently Nyjah had an article run on him in the New York Times, one of the nations most prestigious news sources. Congrats again to Nyjah for his recent and continuing accomplishments. NYJAH HUSTON TAKES SECOND AT DEW TOUR PRO CONTEST IN DENVER!

Congrats to Nyjah Huston who finished the weekend with another solid second place victory on the Dew Tour. As the contest series rolls on it seems to pick up bigger and better competition, this time Nyjah beat out a very impressive list of skaters with consistency and an undeniable high level of skating. LEVI BROWN GETS COVER OF SKATEBOARER MAGAZINE

Congrats to Element rider Levi Brown who kickflipped his way onto the cover of the new Skateboarder magazine. This gives Element riders a total of three covers this month! COLT CANNON HOSTS CONTEST ON HIS BACKYARD MINI RAMP THIS WEEKEND

Colt Cannon owns a very impressive 40 ft. wide mini-ramp in the backyard of his San Diego home and this Sunday he opens the gate to all for a contest and ramp jam. The contest is presented by Elemental Awareness and the winners will receive prizes from Element Skateboards, Overload Skateshop as well as Colt’s other sponsors, all while also getting the opportunity to skate one of the bests ramps out there. LACEY BAKER & EVELIEN BOUILLIART TAKE TOP HONORS AT MYSTIC CUP

Congrats to Element riders Lacey Baker & Evelien Bouilliart who took top honors at last weekends Mystic Cup contest in Prague. Lacey, known for perfect hardlflips and style took first place and $1,000 while Evelien’s unmatched rail skills landed her a second place finish. Props to both riders on excellent skating and their continued accomplishments.

BAM LEADS STUFF MAGAZINES LIST OF TOP 20 PEOPLE UNDER 30

Stuff Magazine's newest issue names Bam Margera one of the most powerful people under 30. In an article titled "Is Bam Margera the Luckiest Man Alive?" Bam gives a glimpse into his current Jackass movie that is set to release soon, some insight into appearances in Tony Hawk games and what exactly he believes power to be. To find it on the newsstands its the one with his name on the cover, but in case your distracted by the other material on the covers of STUFF, it looks like this, check it out!

THRASHER COVERAGE

Element riders can be seen all over recently released Thrasher Magazines. Inside the ‘Thirteen’ photo issue lies Tosh Townend with a front board. Also in Thirteen is Dallas Rockvam with a double spread feeble grind. In a recent issue Collin Provost, whose been on a tear lately, has a noseblunt into a bank photo. As mentioned last week, Tave Tave has his first Thrasher cover with a mighty switch heel. Check out all these mags at your local skate shop and visit Thrasher’s site.

ELEMENTRIO - JOURNAL & PHOTOS

The Elementrio – artists Don Pendleton, Todd Francis & Matt Irving are currently gallivanting around Europe holding a series of art shows. The first show in London went over with great success and the group is currently en route to Paris. Their shows and adventures are documented with daily reports from each of the artists, check it all out on the Elementrio portion of the site.
