Congratulations to Element team riders Phil Zwijsen and Evelien Bouilliart for their 1st (mens division) and 2nd place (girls division) during last weekend’s European championships in Basel. Mike just returned home from a quick trip down to Mexico City, Mexico where he was to put on a skate demo. It was Mike's first trip to Mexico City since 1991 and it turns out 120,000 people couldn't wait to see him, check out the photo gallery from his trip on Mike V's MySpace.

Last month we announced the ECOllaboration project we did with bike manufacturer Krabo. Only five of these were made, and now two are available to bid on at eBay! All proceeds from the sale go directly to an environmental non-profit researched and approved by 1% for the planet. Get your bid in!

The Olympics started today, and Element Chile rider Spiro Razis is not there, but on a recent stay in Barcelona he did his best to qualify for long jump. His attempt was denied by the judges, but at least he didn't die either, check out the clip.

Element sponsored a recent event at Blindside skate shop in Orem, UT. No parking lot, clear out the shop! When we can't bring the team out, we always trying to support the local scenes and this event was great. The winner took home an Element Flat Bar, check out some photos from the event!

Bam Margera and Chad Muska recently took a trip to the Bread & Butter show in Barcelona, where they were joined by Element Advocates Don Pendelton and Pepa Prieto who customized a couple of walls during the show. There was also an Element party and art show featuring pieces by Don, Pepa, Marcel Veldman, Brecht Cuppens, Emil Kozak, and Ze Paz.

Element family held a Flat Bar-B-Que on Go Skateboarding Day event at "Old School Surf and Skate" shop in Sonoma, CA. They've uploaded some pics from the event where the locals shredded for prizes and enjoyed the day.

Bam Margera's crash test dummy Brandon Novak is set to release a book entitled "Dreamseller: An Addiction Memoir." As Bam puts it on the cover, it's "Entertaining, shocking, crazy, unimaginable." Novak has traveled extensively with the Element team over the years, never failing to accumulate wild tales along the way, we can only imagine what he's packed into this book. The book releases on September 30th. Further, Bam has begun production on the movie where he plays Novak, more on both projects as they develop.

Congrats to Element Australia rider Jack Crook won the national finals of the eS Game of S.K.A.T.E. in Melbourne! Jack has won the event 3 of the last 4 years, with the only loss coming from the year he didn't enter. He now travels to the international finals next month in Southern California. Mike Vallely and the DRIVE crew continued in Barbados and U.S. filming for Season 3. The Barbados portion ended with an all day skate tour of the island organized by shop owner Paul. Just about every skater on the island showed up to shred with Mike V for the day. The DRIVE crew then headed for a polar opposite experience back in the homeland, Texas to be exact. Element riders and Elemental Awareness met up for a tour through Europe hitting UK, France, Germany and Belgium. The crew held a skate contest at each spot and got some skating in as well. Elemental Awareness Teamed up with Beachworks to throw a Game of SKATE for the Grand Opening of a new store in Chino Hills. Kids came out from all over the I.E. out to compete for prizes including a new Element Flat Bar and two Scholarships to Element YMCA Skate Camp. In the end, it was Miguel Gamino who took home top honors and the Element Flat Bar. Austin Grant came in a respectable second place also earning a place at Element YMCA Skatecamp this summer. Congrats goes out to all the winners!

Mike V turned pro on May 31, 1987 at a vert contest in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Check out Mike's blog for a snapshot of his career "Twenty one years down and a lifetime to go... Tosh Townend is covering the world of editorial this month with interviews in both US based "The Skateboard Mag," and Australia based "The Skateboarders Journal." The Skateboard Mag reports on Tosh's Weenabago tour from last summer full of hi-jinx and street skating. Many photos of Tosh as well as his supporting cast. Bam Margera invited friends out to his house in West Chester, PA last weekend for a day filled with a signing, skating and.. Santa? The day started at Fairman's where skaters got autographs and hooked up with Element product. They then headed out to Bam's house for skating and hijinx , concluding the day filming a Warner Bros. On Earth Day, Element and Elemental Awareness held "Pick Up the Parks." The crew stopped by parks, rewarded those that picked up trash or made a difference. Mike V recently raided the West Orange Pavillon Mall for a skate session. Mike V actually skated inside the mall before being chased out by security. The Future Nature Contest Series came to a close with the finals at the Vans park in Orange, CA, click here to check out the photo gallery. Every entrant had placed in the top six at one of the previous contests, earning them a spot in the finals to compete for a years supply of Element Boards! Brendon Villanueva killed it for 1st in 13/Under and Akheem Campbell brought out the hammers in the final round for first in the 14-17 division. The Elemental Awareness Future Nature contest series comes to a culmination this Saturday at the Vans park in Orange, CA. Skaters will battle it out in three divisions with each first place winner taking home a years supply of Element boards! Check out the flyer for more info.

Bam is filming a new short movie for Warner Brothers and he's invited a bunch of his favorite skaters to film a scene for the movie at Fairman's in West Chester, PA. Bam and crew will be signing autographs Saturday, April 19 Noon - 2:00pm. The Elemental Awareness Future Nature Tour is heading to Europe May 9th - 17th. There are four stops with events in UK, Belgium, Paris and Germany, click here for all the info. At each stop Element riders will be on hand from both US and Europe teams to judge the contest and skate with everyone.

The US series concludes with the finals April 19th at Vans skatepark in Orange, CA.

Future Nature Contest Series #4 was in Delano, CA, Click here for a photo gallery. Over 100 entrants bobbed and weaved through the expansive park during practice. Trevor McCune won 13&Under, David Gonzales won Sponsored and in the 14-17 division, Alex Coronado nearly made it back to back wins following Simi Valley contest, but ultimately Michael Ruiz took first. Element Advocate and artist Don Pendleton is the first to be showcased in a new video series called "Little Giants", check out the trailer on Mumble magazine's site.
